To The Remnant called to be sanctified in Him as we are washed by the water of His Word and brought forth as a new creation in Christ having been quickened by the Spirit of His Grace.
I write with a heart full of love in Christ, and yet I earnestly pray that the words written here proceed forth by the working of His Spirit knowing that I shall receive a stricter judgment for falsely presuming to write or speak in His name.
Yet the increased responsibility of carrying His anointing that is upon us all in these last days is exactly what Adonai Yeshua (the Lord Jesus) has placed upon my heart to address.
The Lord would remind us as His people that throughout the ages there are three points in history standing out above all others. These signify times when there was a heightened sense of urgency for accountability in the midst of the Lords camp.
They are:
1) the time of deliverance from Egypt and the giving of God’s law from Mt. Sinai,
2) The time of our Lord’s ministry in the earth and the initial years following the outpouring of His Holy Spirit, and
3) the end of the age that we are living in.
At Mt. Sinai the Lord communicated His standards for the encampment as He would approach when He told Moses – “Then the LORD came down upon Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain. And the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up. And the LORD said to Moses, “Go down and warn the people, lest they break through to gaze at the LORD, and many of them perish. Also let the priests who come near the LORD consecrate themselves, lest the LORD break out against them” (Exodus 19:20-21)
The Lord in His Mercy told Moses to warn the people as He knew that the Holiness of His Presence would “consume them in a moment” had the children of Israel not walked in complete obedience to His directives.
It is important to understand (as I am sure we all know) that on an individual basis, God has always required the highest of standards and has given grace to those who purpose in their heart to walk with Him.
James 4:8a says “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you… This implies choice on our part to draw near. (Of course we know that choosing not to draw near leaves us with a lukewarm walk before the Lord).
What I am talking about here though is the approach of the King of the Universe to His people (corporately speaking) for the purpose of accomplishing His perfect will in His timetable.
In the fullness of God’s timetable as He descended upon Mt. Sinai in the midst of His people, they had no choice --- God was drawing near, period. In order to survive the encounter, they were required to “Cleanse (their) your hands, you sinners; and purify (their) your hearts, you double-minded (James 4:8b). This echoes the text in Exodus 19:10-11 –“Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes. And let them be ready for the third day. For on the third day the LORD will come down upon Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people. The only choice they were left with was whether they would make a concerted effort to be ready for His presence in the midst of the camp. It was however, a life or death choice.
The coming of Christ to the earth 2000 years ago was another fullness of the time for the purpose of accomplishing His perfect will -- again in His timetable. Galatians 4:4-5 points this out… “But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”
In Acts 5 we see a couple walking in the midst of the Lord’s camp that had not cleansed their hands, or purified their hearts but instead, walked in a double-minded condition. Like some in the camp that was at Mt. Sinai, Ananias and Sapphira longed for the security of Egypt while moving towards the promises of God.
Psalm 24:3-4 says
Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
Ananias and Sapphira had sworn deceitfully and the Lord cleansed His amp.
In both cases satan tempted the children of God’s Promise with the comfort, false security, and predictability (bondage) of Egypt.
We as part of the remnant of His children know through prophecy and through the witness of His Word that we are in the beginning of sorrows that Jesus mentioned. The Word also bears witness that we are approaching the third day spoken of by the prophet in Hosea 6.
In the fullness of this time as we all hear in our spirit the approach of our Righteous King, there is a sense in all of us that He will have a remnant, this remnant will be cleansed, and His army will have victory over satan and his followers.
The certainty of this is only followed by this question: Will we fall on The Chief Cornerstone and be broken or will the Stone fall on us and grind us to powder? Remember “Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.” If the early church had the example of Israel in the desert, how many more examples do we have as what has happened to the church over the last 2000 years has been added for our admonition?
In recent days of being before the Lord, the Holy Spirit has been telling me to WARN THE REMNANT NOT TO RETURN TO EGYPT; and to remind them concerning the words of the Prophet Jeremiah - “Then hear now the word of the LORD, O remnant of Judah! Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: ‘If you wholly set your faces to enter Egypt, and go to dwell there, then it shall be that the sword which you feared shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt; the famine of which you were afraid shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there you shall die. (chapter 42:15-16)
What I sense the Lord wants me to convey is that the ways of institutional Churchianity are the ways of Egypt; (the ways of man) where everyone seeks their own. In Egypt, His ministers clamor for attention. Every one of us, no exceptions has confronted or will confront a paradox in God’s Kingdom.
The paradox is that many in these last days have been given words of truth and revelations of the time and season we are in. Many as well have seen others fall or they have themselves succumbed to the temptation to promote through their own efforts what God has given them to accomplish, (I am certainly no exception).
What I found is what Paul experienced when he saw “another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.” I know many have experienced this, and I am sure that you have found that the only way to keep the desire to minister from manipulating you from operating out of God’s timing is to even allow this desire to die. As the Word says “And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Even the best intentions of our flesh must be subjected to the baptism of His death. It is a foundational truth within “the doctrine of baptisms” mentioned in Hebrews 6:2
I appeal to you then; do not fall into the trap of self promotion as it will cause sin to revive, and deceive you. Rather wait for the Lord to move on others and the God breathed ministry He has entrusted you with will come forth. This does not mean that you cannot identify yourself with works of ministry that you are involved with. I believe that the Lord would rather have you understand this: when the Spirit of the Lord moved on John the Baptist, those in Jerusalem came out to him.
Remember then the way that the Lord has shown: Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.”
I want to emphasize though that this desire to minister is only an example of what I believe the Lord is saying…
Understand what the Lord is speaking here: The hearts of His remnant are being purified, and in fact the Lord is leading me to write that there are those within the institutional church who are having their hearts purified as well.
The distinction between the remnant and the institution is not always so much the difference in our hearts, but rather it is the methods we employ. In other words, we cannot ascend the hill of the Lord, into the fullness of God’s purposes with pure hearts, and then have hands soiled by the practices of Egypt.
So then, in the fullness of the time we are in, God is once again raising His Standard above His camp. The Lord showed me what He is NOW doing. In Amos 7:7 the prophet writes:
“This is what he showed me: The Lord was standing by a wall that had been built true to plumb, with a plumb line in his hand. And the LORD asked me, “What do you see, Amos?”
“A plumb line,” I replied.
Then the Lord said, “Look, I am setting a plumb line among my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
As we have heeded the voice from heaven telling us to -- “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.” – I am trusting that the Lord is also by His Spirit removing Babylon (or Egypt) from us, and am confident that He will complete the work He has begun in us.
The ongoing revelation of the Lord’s “plumb line” is beyond what I am capable of putting into written words at this time. It is a revelation of order in the Lord’s camp coupled with greater freedom and anointing for His purposes than anything I have ever seen before. While I cannot express the revelation of this yet, I will mention that in Zechariah 4:10 the prophet writes —
For who has despised the day of small things? For these seven rejoice to see The plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. They are the eyes of the LORD, Which scan to and fro throughout the whole earth.”
According to Revelation 5:6 the seven eyes of the Lord “are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.”
The plumb line speaks of the exactness of following the Lord’s ways, the safety of being in the midst of this plumb line and the dangers (especially in this hour) of straying from His order.
REMEMBER: AS THE LORD APPROACHES HE IS ESTABLISHING HIS PLUMB LINE IN THE CAMP. THIS PLUMB LINE WILL BE THE STANDARD FOR BRINGING FORTH HIS JUSTICE, HIS MERCY, HIS PROTECTION, AND HIS ORDER FOR BATTLE IN THESE LAST DAYS.
THIS PLUMB LINE IS NECESSARY SO THAT THE LIVING STONES OF HIS HOUSE WILL WITHSTAND THE WIND AND THE STORMS IN THE COMING DAYS.
IF WE “ARE BEING BUILT TOGETHER FOR A DWELLING PLACE OF GOD IN THE SPIRIT,” THEN IT MUST BE ACCORDING TO THE EXACTING STANDARDS THAT OUR KING HAS ORDAINED.
A WARNING: IT IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THE REMNANT TO COME OUT OF BABYLON – WE MUST NOT BE FOUND DOING WHAT IS RIGHT IN OUR OWN EYES – ONLY A PEOPLE WHO ARE WALKING IN THE LIGHT OF HIS WORD, WALKING IN FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER, LOVING ONE ANOTHER, CONFESSING THEIR FAULTS ONE TO ANOTHER, AND SUBMITTING ONE TO ANOTHER WILL BE HIDDEN AND PROTECTED UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE LORD’S WINGS.
WE MUST WALK IN THE LIGHT AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT. ONLY THESE ONES WILL PUT ON THE FULL ARMOUR OF GOD AND BE THOUROUGHLY EQUIPPED FOR THE BATTLE AHEAD.
Backing up to Zechariah 4:9 we read that “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple;” If we look for the ones who would lay foundations in the New Testament, we would need to look for apostles and prophets. It is genuine apostles and prophets working together that the Lord will use in these last days to set the foundation of His dwelling place once again.
How do you test these giftings to see if they are genuine?
Remember this: genuine apostles and prophets will decrease as the plumb line of the Lord is established. They continually make room for the gift of God in others, knowing that the more the calling and gifting of God is expressed in His people, and the more liberty the body has to rise up in the anointing that God has given them…THE MORE JESUS WILL BE GLORIFIED. On the other hand, false apostles and prophets much like false shepherds; work to increase their stature and influence as the body of Christ grows.
As you continue reading in Zechariah 5 though you notice a flying scroll being released; this brings to remembrance the scrolls being released in the vision that Susan Cummings had in “The Door to the Room Named Change.”
Yes, this word bore immediate witness in my spirit that scrolls of His righteous judgment are being released, and yet God is calling for the establishment of His ways among the remnant of His people. My question is this: will we allow for the change?
Will His people make room for the plumb line to be placed in the hands of apostles and prophets today? Will these gifts from the heart of the Father be received with thankfulness, or will they be viewed with suspicion?
With all that His people have been through contending with Nicolaitans (those with a lording over spirit), we have every right to test these apostolic and prophetic giftings, but having past these tests, I believe we are compelled by God’s word to receive them.
I am constrained by the Spirit from sharing any more on His plumb line beyond this final point for now. The establishment of the Lord’s plumb line in the midst of His camp will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.
Please understand, I do not write with any sense of having already attained.
As I consider what has been written, there is joy in my heart as I ponder the soon appearing Jesus, my Lord and Savior; but there is also a trembling in my spirit as I consider the Holiness of our King who draws near in the fullness of this time.
I pray and am confident that those who hear what the Spirit is saying to His people in these days will be made ready and be found by Him clothed in righteousness at the hour of His appearing.
May the Grace of the Lord be with you all.
